Can I see all of Koh Samui's coastline in one day?
A full circumnavigation of Koh Samui’s ~51km coastline is possible in 8–9 hours with a speedboat, with stops along the way. A catamaran circumnavigation is more leisurely and best done as a long full-day charter. Most guests prefer to focus on the southern and western coastlines — where the most dramatic scenery, secluded beaches and golden hour views are concentrated.
What is the best time of day for a coastal sunset cruise?
Koh Samui sunsets fall between 18:00 and 18:45 depending on the time of year. Our SERE 71FT sunset cruise departs at 17:00 and returns at 19:00 — timed to position you at Koh Som and Thongson Bay during peak golden hour. Afternoon half-day departures on other vessels (typically 13:30–14:30) also catch the late afternoon light on the return leg.
Is snorkelling good along the Koh Samui coast?
The south coast of Koh Samui has the best inshore snorkelling — particularly around Koh Taen and Koh Matsum (Pig Island), which sit just off the southern tip. Visibility is generally good December through May. The west coast is less suitable for snorkelling but offers exceptional scenery and sunsets instead.
